Eat variety of food
Let your meals be rich in carbohydrates, protein, fruits and vegetables. The chemicals our body produces during stress turn gene on and off and this can affect the metabolism, immune system, detoxification and brain function; which is why eating pure food is necessary as it lessens the stress. Our body does not detoxify well under stress but the presence of pure food minimizes the toxic load. There is a whole lot of difference between pure foods and fast food, we have resolved to fast foods because it’s more accessible but it’s detrimental to the health because of its high sugar and chemicals for preservation.
Drinking filtered water in sufficient quantity daily
Technically, this is not a habit people enjoy doing but it plays a vital role in fitness of our body by enhancing the brain. It is advisable to take at least 8 cups of water in a day which is equivalent to 2 liters. Being dehydrated impairs many aspect of the brain which can in turn cause constant headaches and lack of concentration, this is how essential water is to the body and mind. Taking lots of water also helps the brain to think fast, be more focused, in a literal sense filtered water cleanses the body and mind.
Taking regular exercise:
This might be stressful but it’s helpful. Exercise produces endorphins which are chemicals that can help reduce stress, exercise does not really mean going to the gym, you could take a short brisk walk every day, it flexes the muscles of the body, or use the stairs after a lunch, stretch the arms and legs deliberately to increase oxygen in the body and brainpower.
Maintaining a healthy mind is having a healthy mind and healthy body. The body is programmed from the mind, so if the mind is taken care of, the end result will be an active body. The mind needs to be alert every second for a good responsive body. Deliberately doing things that enhances the mind is advisable.
Discovering new ideas, doing researches and trying out a whole new different thing activates the brain, it even speeds the processing of information when intensive reading and researches are done. When this becomes a habit, the results are great. Reading broadens the mind and sparks positive thinking that ensures stable mental health.
